Wei-Jun Qian

Dr. Qian's current research involves the development and application of novel mass spectrometry-based proteomics approaches for quantifying the dynamic changes in protein abundances and protein post-translational modifications from mammalian cells, tissues, and biofluids with the purpose of gaining better understanding of cell signaling and discovering novel mechanistic or diagnostic protein biomarkers for human diseases. His areas of expertise include liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry based quantitative proteomics, stable isotope and chemical labeling, protein post-translation modifications, protein biomarker discovery, and proteomics data analysis.
