Welcome to Systems Biology Tutorials, an educational resource for systems biology research at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). Information regarding seminar series at PNNL is available below. Not all of these seminars are open to the public. Therefore, PDFs of the presentations given by our staff and invited speakers are provided for individuals external to PNNL or PNNL staff unable to attend.
2004 Noontime Seminar Series: Computational Biology & Bioinformatics
A series of seven lectures provided an introduction to the increasingly prominent role of computing in modern biological research. Presentations by expert scientists from PNNL and Washington State University Tri-Cities covered a wide range of topics in Bioinformatics and Data Mining, Spatial and Networking Modeling, and Structural Modeling and Simulation.

2003 Biology Seminar Series: Biology for the Novice
Solving today's biological mysteries requires multidisciplinary teams. Recognizing this, the Systems Biology program under the Biomolecular Systems Initiative launched a series of lectures to introduce curious professionals to the molecular aspects of biology. The seminar series, hosted by PNNL and Washington State University Tri-Cities, consisted of seven lectures that revealed the basic secrets of life and how biologists study them.
