Expertise

Dr. Petritis' areas of expertise include targeted metabolomic analysis, development and validation of liquid chromatography methods, and LC-MS/MS analysis of biomolecules from a variety of matrices (agricultural, biological fluids, microbial, etc). Currently he is working on the liquid chromatography peptide elution time prediction and in the development of new methods for phosphopeptides enrichment/purification, plasma protein fractionation, peptide separation, etc. As of 2004, he has authored or co-authored 24 peer-reviewed scientific publications, has 1 pending international patent, and has more than 50 oral/written communications presented in international scientific conferences. Dr. Petritis joined PNNL as a post-doctoral associate in 2002, and he is currently a senior research scientist in the Macromolecular Structure and Dynamics group at PNNL.
