Gary Kiebel

Mr. Kiebel has a strong background in software development and instrumentation and control systems. His recent activities include being the chief architect and lead software developer for the Proteomics Research Information Storage and Management system. PRISM is used to manage the large volume of data produced by the EMSL mass spectrometry laboratory for Proteomics research and automate its processing. He also provides database development support to the Cellular Observatory Data Acquisition Information Management system.

In a prior assignment, Mr. Kiebel served as the chief engineer for the Light Duty Utility Arm (LDUA) project that developed and deployed a robotic manipulator for working inside underground nuclear waste storage tanks. This was a collaborative effort among several Department of Energy sites and national laboratories.
